Julietta Korbel is a filmmaker, of Swiss and Slovak origin. Her work explores the connection between territory and memory. She was born in 1996 and grew up in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Studying the arts at Kingston University, London and FAMU (Filmová a televizní fakulta Akademie múzických umění), Prague, before graduating at ECAL (Ecole Cantonale d'Art de Lausanne) in 2019 with her film: Still Working, selected in numerous festivals including Locarno, Clermont-Ferrand or Palm Springs. She won the Swiss Film Award in 2020. Currently, she is writing her first feature film. She has also worked as an assistant director for documentaries and fiction films.
